JR exhibits his photographs in the biggest art gallery on the planet. His work is presented freely in the streets of the world, catching the attention of people who are not museum visitors. His work mixes Art and Action; it talks about commitment, freedom, identity and limit.
"I chose the Women subjects, because I think that the women reveal the whole condition of the society. I wanted to confront those portraits with the streets.I started looking for anonymous women that are daily heroes, photograph them, and paste them in their own city, and make their story travel. I wanted to show another image of themselves."
